Need LED 101

I know nothing about led lights. The set on the ceiling over the fridge started strobe flashing in the middle section - meaning not all of the lights flash. I don’t need a disco in my RV. I turned it off but don’t have a clue how to approach repair or replace. Ideas?

General they are not repairable. 2 possible issues, one the solder joints are not good for that section or the LEDs are just going out in that section. More than likely you will need to replace it.

Could be solder joints. If I push on the small black box they stop. Not a year old. Thanks for your reply.

If you feel comfortable with a soldering iron I would re-solder all joints. But then again if it is less than a year old have the dealer replace it or have FR send you another one and you replace it.

First trouble shooting with any led issue is to remove all power to it for several minutes. This will reset the drivers. If this doesn’t work then by the looks of the unit it would need replacement. When you get the new one look at the manufacturer warranty many have a multi year warranty

4:00 am and water dripping on my head. Seems like the roof repair failed.... but that’s another thread.

I had 3 since I bought mine do that. I went on Amazon bought the exact same model in a multi pack and replaced them in 15 min.

Are all of them due to FR roof leak possibly?

Mine was not. I do think mine was static discharge from a Lightning strike near by. I have not had roof leak.

Sorry have not had good WiFi. I do not cause of LED failures but we are up to 4 or 5 of them now. Almost every one in main living area. Strobe flashing or sections out.
