That extension is a Ford part as is the cap. The builder do nothing with the chassis after they get it other than build on it!

There is some other reason the caps you are finding are not fitting.

Had the same problem on my Winnebago. The Ford part looked similar but did not fit. Ford parts guy was stumped. Until the day I traded it I used a big rag stuffed in the filler pipe with a plastic bag rubber banded over it. Seemed to work fine but was certainly not elegant!

Know what you mean I have zip lock and tie wrap in mine. It’s like how that unscrewed going down road.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone managed to find the right part number. I stupidly lost my oil fill cap for my 2014 and the one I ordered (Dorman 80991) looks right but isn't. The end is too large for the fill tube.

Thanks so much - that's exactly what I am trying to avoid!

Incidentally, for anyone who might find this thread later on (like I did), the cap I ended up getting was a Motorcraft EC-755 (1L3Z-6766-AA). It is threaded, not 1/4 turn. Fits perfectly...
