Anyone have part number for oil cap for Georgetown v-10. Oil neck it up close to top of engine bay. Some how it walked off.

Should be available at any parts store or Ford dealer.

I think it is special on the MH. This isn't the 1st time I read about that issue. I think I would safety tie mine when the new one is attained.

I own no MH

Only numbers on the oil cap for my 2014 Georgetown are >PA6-(GF+M)40<

Does not look like a part number to me but that is all that is imprinted on the oil cap and it is imprinted on the end of the cap that extends into the oi fill tube.

After going to 4 part stores and ordering the wrong cap, I went to the dealer who pulled up an exploded view of the engine, oil extension piece and cap. He ordered it, next day it came in.

$10

Good Luck!

The cap on my Georgetown has two specific characteristics.
1. The top of the cap indicates oil to be used as does the Dorman 80991
2. There is a section of material directly under the cap prior to the start of the threads as in the Duralast 8110. The extra piece of material directly under the cap is critical for the proper sealing of the oil cap.

The above may not help, however it is all I can offer at this time.

The cap is a basic ford screw on cap. Been using it for years!

Does this look like it? One I ordered for F53 doesn’t fit.

Per the head of service at Jordan Ford, who supplies our motorhome chassis, the Ford part # for the oil cap on a V10 Ford is:

PART NUMBER-GU9Z-6766-A

Hope this helps!

Chris

Thanks I ordered a cap for a F53 chassis and it wasn’t right. I’m worndering if Forest River is not Installing the extension fill tub which in tune uses a different cap.

FYI- We are not installing any type of extension at the factory. That is a straight Ford part.
