Onan 5500 breaker won't reset

I tried running both A/C's on generator and tripped both breakers. One will reset and I can run the rear unit but the other breaker won't reset. I can't find any blown fuses anywhere so should I assume the breaker itself is bad?

Thanks.
Bob

Allow the breaker to cool and then move it to the off position for a few seconds and then to on If it trips right away you may have a short or the breaker may be bad.

Must be bad

I tried resetting them after letting them sit for a bit. One went back into position with no problem and worked the other switch is just sort of loose and won't reset. Guess I'll have to look at replacing... at least it's still under warranty.

Thanks Sea Dog.

If its under warranty have them trouble shoot and replace, hope you don't have to leave the coach there. In the feature if you have a problem the breakers at Home Depot or lower are direct replacements of better quality in my opinion.

Onan 5500 breaker won't reset

Did you try what seadog said to do I his first response. The breaker lever needs to be pushed to the "off" position first then to the "on" position second. If you don't do this the lever will be loose.
Replacing it yourself is usually the simplest and easiest solution.

I thought 1 of ours needed to be replaced.
When I took the plate of to remove the breaker it worked!
The hole in the plate was drilled a little off center, enlarged the hole .
