Outside Awning Lights

I have a 2017 377TS. I hardly use the outside awning lights as I feel they are just too bright for use at campgrounds. However tonight I was out in the RV and had the awning lights on in the driveway so the wife could see. While inside I discovered the under cabinet lights on the passenger side wouldn't turn on. After checking numerous items I discovered that these lights do not turn on if the outside awning lights are on. Is this an intentional feature/interlock or do I have a problem I need to look at? Odd it took 3 years to discover!

I have never heard of anything like that and would think its a wiring mistake by the factory.

That's what I thought, but was hoping to find other 377 owners that might be able to either verify the setup or debunk it, before I go chasing a ghost.

Maybe, just maybe, someone thought…..if you’re inside, and need lights on, then you’re probably not outside, and leaving those lights on would just be wasteful.

I can’t believe I just thought that up.

Not an answer to your question, but I feel same way and hang globe lights from awning on a dimmer switch. I can make them candle dim, or crank them up to runway illumination for cleaning up, etc.

I don't know where your switch is located but mine is on the main panel. I think I would pull the main panel and see how the switch is wired. Pulling the panel will give you a better view of how the wiring goes than just pulling the switch.
