Outside television DVDs play black and white.
Something for the collective. We have a 2014 GT 378 and Our outside TV decided to play DVDs in black and white. When using cable or over the air, it’s color. I’ve been through all of the settings to no avail.
I’ve tried looking at the RCA cable, but short of removing the fireplace, I see no way to access the cable.
Anyone have thoughts? Perhaps the outside DVD player has given up?

What brand are the TV and DVD players! My guess is the DVD player.

T.V. is a Toshiba, not sure what the Radio/DVD is.
Once I get a set of stereo removal tools, I will pull the DVD stereo and check the RCA cable. If the cables are good then I figure I’ll end up just buying a new DVD/radio player.

Mine did this once. I had it on the wrong input. I don’t remember if it was the TV or the “stereo”. I had to fiddle with it.

If it’s a radio/dvd together my buddy’s in his Fleetwood did the same thing. It was covered under warranty so they swapped it out. But maybe it’s time for an upgrade to Blue Ray.

Same happened to us and it turned out to be a setting on the TV or DVD player - can't remember which.

Had the same issue with our 2014 Georgetown, outside TV and separate DVD player. it was a setting with either the DVD play or the TV and I believe it was the TV.. Am camping this week and do not have access to enough historical communications to dig in and figure out what the fix was. Sorry!

Had this problem. I was using DVD mode and the picture was black and white. Switched to AUX setting and it was color.

It is the setting in the DVD. The setting must match the input type of the TV. Do some google searches on your make of DVD player and black and white. Good thing nothing is broken just a settting

On the keystone I had, that happened to me on the inside tv. When I went to inputs on the tv remote, I picked the wrong input and it played black and white. When I selected a different input, it played in color. Sorry I can't remember what each of the inputs were. I was surprised the DVDs would play on the 2 different inputs.

I thought I had gone through all of the inputs, even going as far as resetting to factory defaults. Maybe I missed something.. I was going out to pull the DVD player to check the RCA cable Saturday anyway.

Of all the years and TV’s, DVD and Blue Ray players I have never see a setting that makes them play in black and white! I guess I’m just lucky with that!

I think I had to change mine from composite to coax - it all depends on how the cabling is set up

Went out today and fiddled around again with the outside TV. Tried all of the settings on the television as well as the DVD player. No joy. Tomorrow I'll pick up a new RCA cable and give that a try. Fingers crossed...
On another note, I installed an adjustable height showerhead bar while I was out there. Easy peasy and now maybe I won't have water all over the bathroom when I wash my hair. Doubtful, but you never know.

I had a supposedly factory screwball set-up inside our Leprechaun. The original(?) 110v DVD player wouldn't properly play DVD's that had been recorded off the air on an old DVD tuner/recorder that had always made great recordings. But sometimes I think our RV unit may have been cannibalized as it worked it's way to us.
The lame DVD player was an Intertec that was made in 2018, yet had no HDMI output. All it had was red, blue, green component outs (RBG) and the even earlier RCA red-white audio with yellow video (composite R/W/Y). It had a composite cable that went to a Furrion TV from the players composite jacks. The factory Furrion TV, on the other hand, did not have dedicated R/W/Y jacks, just the R/W audio and a shared green jack which was connected to the yellow video cable. ???
I replaced the R/W/Y video/sound cable with HDMI using a different Blu-Ray 110v player which works great. Some of our collection is Blu-ray, the rest DVD & CD audio. By design, the player & TV also run off the factory 110v ac inverter that is included primarily for the 110v residential refrigerator.
Although the player I used was a new back-up Sony unit that hadn't even been opened for several years, Sony still makes some economical small players that are similar. Sony invented Blu-Ray and they work very well.

Finally found the time over the last couple weekends to fiddle with the outside TV.
I had left off with wanting to replace the AV cable, which I did, to no avail. After removing the TV, the DVD player and the sound bar, I had access to pretty much every connection. I inspected EVERYTHING! Still nothing. Today I went out with a can of electronic cleaner to spray the pin connections on the removal door of the DVD player, nothing.
By now I have watched the intro to "How the West Was Won" about 15 times.
I started going through the settings for the DVD player again. Nope. Started going through the settings on the TV. Nope, checked "source" nope. finally I went to the "menu" on the TV and went to setup. Under "input" in the TV setup there are a multitude of choices. Under the AV input, there is a choice for "color stream", which is what the DVD player says as well. I scrolled right and there is a selection for "video" I selected it and bang zoom! Color! Pretty sure I'd been there before, but may have just left it as "color stream" because that's what the DVD player says. At any rate, it's fixed, how it was changed I have no idea. All I was out was $8 for a new AV cable. I did get to see places I never thought I would ever see, or want to for that matter!
