Pass Through Storage

I'm looking for folks with experience securing items so that they don't slide around in the pass through sections of their RV. I have a Georgetown 2022 GT7. What have you done that worked well and what didn't.

Some people cut a roll of plastic mat from Amazon to fit, some use carpet, and some, like me, don't care so much because we don't put anything small in the passthrough.

I installed D rings on either side of the larger pass throughs in our XL 378. Then use ratchet straps to secure. (lightly) We can get two Zero Gravity chairs, collapsed on top of each other in one section, and the collapsible BBQ table and small drink table in the section next to it. Everything is low enough to clear the HYD rams, and everything stays put! Just pull out what you are going to be using before running out the slides...

Thanks, I had just come to the same conclusion. Initially I was afraid of drilling through the bottom of the cargo area. Then it occurred to me to go through the sides, avoiding any water intrusion. I ordered some heavy duty mounts and large diameter screws for a better purchase in the plastic.

Thanks everyone for their insight.
