Passenger seat won't stay fixed

I have a Georgetown GT7, and the passenger seat won't stay locked in the forward position. I have reached underneath and pushed on the the steel tab that locks it into the plate, but it doesn't hold. It's a dangerous situation since the seat rotates when I turn corners and almost spills the passenger out of the seat, even with the seat belt engaged. Any idea on how to fix this mechanism.

Welcome to the its a great place to get your questions answered. What year is your rig is it still under warranty? A pic of the underneath of the seat may help to get the best answer.

Moved to the Georgetown sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information.

As SeaDog said, is the rig still under warranty? You do need to get it fixed and a dealer could probably fix it. It might be easier to replace the swivel base.

There are just 4 bolts that secure the seat to the base. Remove those bolts and the seat to reveal the mechanism and it may be apparent why the failure.

Thank-you, I'm looking forward to meeting others and maybe at some point be able to help others. Right now, I'm a newbie to Motorhomes. The seat situation is terrible; I called the local dealer but they can't get me in for a few weeks so I was hoping someone had some insight on this problem. I guess I could always try a little duct tape

Sounds easy enough, I'll give it a try. Thanks!
