Pin 6 Inop 270S

In the following picture, the part labeled “Truck” is the 7pin connector on the back of my 270S. Pin 6 (brown) is for the R turn and brake light. It has no voltage (checked with meter) when the brakes are applied. Pin 5 has 13 volts when the brakes are applied. I also just verified that the same error is occurring for the turn signal on that same pin 6 connection. The brake light and turn signal on pin 6 are inoperative – no voltage. Pin 5 works for both turn signal and brake light.

Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the whole route of the 7pin connector? I probably need to find a bad connection or fuse.

Before you start pulling wires I would strongly suggest you check all the lights on the Georgetown to see if they are all working properly.
Sometimes you have a burnt bulb but the filament is still touching and makes a path to ground that makes things work funny.

Good luck

And before you do THAT - check all your fuses.

x2

Often the plug for the trailer lights is on a different fuse than the coach / tow vehicle.

Good Luck !

Solved??

Started at the 7pin and disassembled - All wires are attached OK, followed harness no breaks. Looked deeper into Ford manual and found relays for 7 pin connector. Either Ford or Georgetown forgot to install relay #1 that controls the towed right turn/brake light. I'll get he part tomorrow and verify.
