Power cord

Anybody know where you can buy the piece for the bottom of the electrical cord storage compartment that has rubber in it so you can put the cord in it and the close the door? It gets rid of the hole with the screw in cover. I've seen them on several m/h's but don't know where to get one. Looks like it would beat the heck out of the screw in gizmo!!

No, but thanks. I don't know what to call it. It's like a slot cut into the bottom of the compartment from the outer edge. You just force your cord into it, it has rubber weather stripping on both sides to seal around the cord. It just looks like it would be much better than feeding the cord out and then back into the hole in the bottom of the compartment.

So......are you expecting this opening to be large enough to pass your actual plug (30 or 50 amp) through this thing too?

I don’t know about your situation, but my plug needs almost the entire 4” opening to fit through......and I think everyone knows the colder it is, the more difficult the entire cord becomes because it doesn’t like to flex.

That looks like something cobbled together at the factory by cutting a slot in the compartment opening and adding some type of bulb seal to the edges.

It doesn't appear to be anything pre-manufactured and I've never seen anything like it.

I've seen that on many brands of class A units have have thought seriously about doing that with ours. Feeding that 50amp power cord through that hole is a major pain in the butt, especially when it's cold. I discovered by accident that our door over that compartment will close with the hose hanging out. Now for overnight stops that's what I do. I'm too darned old to be fighting that cable. Good luck on finding it, if I find one I'll post it on here. I think Winnebago uses that .

Pictures make things sooooooo much clearer.

I think there’s an emoji for this?

That's it!! I swear I saw one for sale online when I was searching for a power rewind cord reel but can no longer find it. I've thought about cutting a slot and adding some weather strip to the edges but you only get 1 chance.
