Propane Fitting & Hose for BBQ

Anyone know the size of the fitting for the Propane quick connect on a '15 Georgetown 270? The one I have for the home BBQ is a different size.

Thanks!

When we picked up our 364 the 2nd of November we asked about the hose at the dealer.. They had the hoses but said the problem is if your have a BBQ or stove that already has a built in regulator ( which most of them do) then you cannot use it since the motorhome source is already regulated.. We decided to bag it for now and keep using the round green cylinders

All you need to do is remove the exisiting regulator from your propane grill and thread a couple nipples and adapters together to hookup to your RV propane grill line.

I have never had to remove second regulator since they only close on pressure rise they usually don't cause any problems.

The tee set up we purchase for our 2013 378ts was designed to screw into the propane line outlet before the regulator so the cross over line supplies non regulated propane to whatever you connect to it. Then the grill uses its own regulator . The kit comes complete with the tee that goes inline between tank out line and regulator, end caps for the tee fitting that goes to the cross over line. and the crossover line. I think the kit was about $75.00 at Camping World. The tee itself has a check valve for the crossover fitting so you can disconnect the crossover when not in use without having to shut off the propane tank supply. All the threaded fittings are correct male/ female threads so no other adapters are required. End caps are also in the kit. Since the crossover line is rubber I never travel with it connected.

I believe this youtube video will answer all your questions. Its for a Weber Q1200 but the principals are the same.

I had to replace my forest river one on the rig because I could not find one to work. So I took it off and bought a new female and new male for the outdoor grill

I don't mind using the green propane bottles. I use about three a season, or buying them at WalMart at 5.99 for 2 equals about $9 per season. So I would have to go about 8 camping seasons to get my money back based on some of the posts on this thread. Besides that, my propane tank is on the street (drivers) side where I believe most are. That would make for a pretty long hose to use for either the Coleman stove or RoadTrip Grill.

Ah but our new 364 has a fitting plumbed in on the passenger side just for a 6 foot hose to BBQ with a door to cover it when not used

Here is the adapter from Amazon for $63.65. It has two hoses which the one thru Wal Mart does not have. It allows you to hook up directly to any grill that already has a regulator and also lets you still use the green bombs if you are grilling away from you coach.

Amazon.com: Camco 59123 Propane Brass Tee with 4 Port with 5' and 12' Hose: Automotive

and the video to install it:

Good link to the video and how great is that BBQ hook up on the newer rigs. At least someone must camp that designs these rigs.
