On our 2017 Georgetown g5 31r, there is a little push button switch at the corner of windshield above the driver. Wondering what it is for, our walk thru guide had no idea.

this button serves as a programming device for the shade's 'limits' - so that you can customize it to your preference as to how 'far' down it will come while driving - or if it gets out of sync and doesn't go all the way up, or down, when parked. It usually just hides up in the corner of the share roller.

You probably started the re-program sequence. Mine came from the factory unprogrammed. No big deal as I can see than somebody posted the programming directions.
