Smile Put down payment on 2007 Georgetown

Thanks for letting me join. Will soon be a Forest River owner.

Just stopped by Camping World today to kill some time. Stumbled upon a 2007 Georgetown 373 wit just 2700 miles on it.
Decided it was time to upgrade to a motorhome so I put a down payment on it.
Have to wait until I can get my travel trailer from where I keep it stored to trade in and get some funds from 401 to get it out of hock.
Should have it in a couple weeks I hope.

Jim

Congratulations! We are on our 2nd Georgetown and have been happy with both. I am not familiar with that coach but I'm sure there are some here on this forum that are, and can help you with any advise or questions you may have.

Hello and Welcome Jim

Congrats Jim on moving on up!
The sad part was that someone originally bought it and hardly used it.
I bought a new 2012 and I now have 36,000 miles on mine.
Enjoy and come on back and ask us the thousand questions you will have here on the ForestRiverForums.com

Let us know what we can do to help you.

Congratulations, Jim. In the past 35 years we have owned 6 motorhomes and the last 2 have been Georgetowns. I feel like I know what to expect from them now! Not perfect (none are), but we've been happy with both of them. And yes, this forum is full of information that will help you to resolve most any issue you encounter. Wecome.!

Congratulations! We have a Georgetown 360 and love it! As was mentioned, most RVs have issues. And with only 2700 miles on it, I'm sure the previous owners never had a chance to really do a complete shakedown and get them all sorted out. So it's my suggestion you also purchase an extended warranty program. You might want to check the Good Sam program and see what they offer. The one I purchased thru my dealer required I always go back to them, (with some exclusions).
But an extended warranty, is definitely a purchase I would make! Mine has saved me thousands!! Good luck, and have fun!!

welcome to the family. We got our 2015 a few months ago and have 2900 on it.

Remember we do not talk about MPG, we talk about smiles per gallon, SMG.

You might want to consider a working a new set of tires into the deal. Although I'm sure if those are the original tires they probably appear near perfect I would be leary of running tires that old on a Motor Home.

Congratulations!

We bought a used 2008 373 about 5 years ago. Ours had just about the same number of miles on it back then and only 2 hours on the generator! (Now it's got about 38k )

Just finished a 3 week vacation trip. Can't wait to get back on the road!

Since we both have 373's, let me know if you have any questions about our experiences with the coach.

PS. Love that floor plan! We've looked at DP's thinking to upgrade someday, just can't find a floor plan anything like the 373!

Welcome! We also have a 373 and very much enjoy it. Like you, ours had low miles on it when we bought it. Traveling full time, we have since corrected that oversight!

Two items you may want to look into ( I assume your on a Ford F53 chassis)

1) Take your VIN number to a Ford dealer and make sure the Cruise control recall has been complied with

2) To improve handling, look into the Cheep Handling Fix (CHF)

I absolutely agree with waiter 21 about the CHF. Just did mine last week and has made a huge difference both on the highway and on local roads! Search this forum for CHF. Easy and quick.

Congratulation on your new motor home. Lots of information on this forum, don't be afraid to ask. There is so much knowledge in all the Georgetown owners.
