Refrigerator Error Code Li oP

Have error code Li oP on fridge and unit not cold. Turned unit off/on but code returns. Switched between commercial and propane with no success. Search online indicates an issue with high temp switch. Hoping this is a simple fix that does not require taking RV to repair/dealer. Any input would be appreciate.

Error Code

Hello, If you have a Norcold fridge, here's a bunch of info on fixing the code. They all say to proceed with caution after resetting the fridge. If there really is a problem with the unit, then it should be looked at by a tech. Hope this helps https://www.google.com/search?client...Li+oP+on+fridg

Usually its the relay in a Norcold PC board. The error means that the LP temperature is too hot in the exhaust pipe. If relay is out, it trips this error code.
I would have the PC board checked out. The tech that fixed mine said it is common. Part for me was $110.00. Labor was 175. Fixed onsite.

With a 2018 GT5 it's unlikely that the Norcold refrigerator sprung a leak, which is good. That system was added because of fires occurring when the system overheated. When the temp switch hits 800 degrees, which is more than twice as high as its normal operating temperature, the thermal sensor sends a signal to the "recall box" and it cuts everything off.

If you remove the outside vent door you may see a red LED illuminated. That is the indicator that the safety system tripped. The "recall box" is fairly small, maybe 3" by 4".

Supposedly you can place a strong magnet near the LED to reset the switch but people have reported varying degrees of success. The question is why it tripped.

If the refrigerator is run off-level too long that can do it. "Off-level" is usually 3 degrees side-to-side or 6 degrees front-to-back. Three degrees is not that much. My driveway has a 3 degree slope and while a dog's ball will roll towards the street it's not too much effort to go after it and get it.

HTH,

Ray
