Cool Remove TV from mount

2020 FR Georgetown 5 31L5 with TV mounted above fireplace on wall shared with lavatory. Need to take TV off mount to get to HDMI ports on back. Have tried lifting up on the TV assuming it would lift off the mounting bracket, but TV doesn't budge . This worked on outside TV. Any info on the TV mount, or how I can get to the back of the TV? TIA.

If it’s like mine you have to remove all of the screws from the mount. Mine has 5 on top and 3 on the bottom. One was just never put in. The mount is mounted solid to the back of the TV. Plug in your cables and remount to the wall. It’s not heavy. Just a bit awkward without a hand.

Agreed. Have to take out all the screws and good to have an extra pair of hands. Suggest that while you have the TV down add on USB cable, HDMI cable, RCA cable and optic cable for possible future use.

I just replaced the mount on mine with a $10 removable one from Walmart. What started out as a plan to simply replace the cheap sounder with a Bose has morphed into something bigger!
