Replacement RV Mattress Opinions

I am in process of shopping for a replacement mattress for my Georgetown Forrest River 2012 330 35' motorhome. It came with a very uncomfortable factory bed (hard as a rock. It is a short queen. Can anyone suggest a fine quality medium firm mattress? Especially one that sleeps cool. Thanks and have a sparkling camping day!

When we replaced our camper mattress, we opted for a Sleep Number bed because Momma and I like different firmnesses of beds.

Though, we are fulltiming and could justify the cost.

I didn't replace the hard as a rock mattress that came with our trailer but I did use if to support our memory foam topper. Now the trailer has a better bed than the house.

We picked up this topper rather than replace the whole mattress. It has been one of the best upgrades we have done so far.....

I would go with the sleep number if you can. We did however replace our most recent one with a Dynasty cool breeze mattress! We like it so far!
I am not a fan of mattress toppers, they never seem to fit just right!

We chose sleep number for the same reason. DW likes mush and I like boards. As I get older, I'm glad we did go with it. When my hips hurt, I can make it softer. When my back hurts I can make it harder.

If you like former sleep number just remember to let out some air before hitting the road and climbing in altitude along your route.

What about sheets that fit short queen. My head is spinning about the things I haven't thought of yet. Totally newbie.

They have them. They are called RV Queen. Amazon or camping world for sure.

Our 5'r had a very nice mattress in it when we bought it, but due to our down-sizing, we had a "spare" Sleep number queen available. We installed that and it has been wonderful. MUCH lighter than the previous mattress, so we dropped a few pounds in tongue weight as well and the storage under the bed is so much easier to get into as the SN bed is very light.

We also went with the sleep number bed but got ours from CW even though the mattress was named differently. We love it. We both like different kinds of beds so this works out for us.

I bought a regular queen pillow top mattress at a store that sells returned items. (Not used, maybe has a small rip or a dirt stain on the corner which mine has.) it fits a little snug but that’s ok and it’s very comfortable. Paid $250.

For the bunks, we have a place that makes mattresses to fit trailers, 2 mattresses were $300, one single and one 3/4, great comfortable mattresses.

New bed

We just put in a Lessa queen in our 377. It over hangs a couple of inches on the end but still leaves plenty of room to walk around it.
