Scratch Removal

I have 2017 Georgetown 364. The exterior has scratches on it. I have tried a paste wax on it with some success. I am reluctant to use anything more abrasive on the decals. Any suggestions.

Is your Georgetown have a paint job with clear coat?
Is it really a scratch or a bunch of them? It could be swirl marks in the clear coat that looks like scratches?
Do not use anything on the decals as they will discolor and crack

My 2012 has swirl marks and I use a product that is a very mild scratch remover product that I apply with my random orbital buffer.

Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover 2.0 is one of the best Cleaner/Polish and Fine Swirl removers you canbuy. 16 oz
$13 at Walmart

You cannot do anything to remove the scratched on the decals.
Now some folks I know that had faded and cracking decals use a hair dryer remove them and replace them.
That's the best I can suggest.
But again no paste wax on decals just a mild cleaner and maybe one of those light spray on wipe off waxes/cleaners.

So, your unit does not have a full body paint job?

The entire premise of using a mild abrasive on scratches in PAINT is to remove some of the paint so the scratch is less noticeable. You have to be careful to only remove a small amount of paint and not get down into the primer or basecoat. If the scratch is too deep, there isn't much hope besides repainting.

On a decal, there is no material to remove. You cannot buff scratches out of a decal.
Removal of the decal or replacement is your only option.
