Unhappy Seat covers all around

Hi. I’m new to the forum. My husband and I just bought a 2019 Georgetown 369 XL. We have 2 cats and really need to get thick seat covers for all the seats. We have a sofa with 4 recliners, booth seating and the two seats up front. HELP...our cats have only been here one night and they have already started to mark up the furniture with their claws. Any suggestions???
Thank you in advance...

Our cats stay with us. We travel around for a few months.

Have you made any effort to know how much new seat covers will cost to be replaced and how often you'll have to replace them? You're off to a bad start of cats messing up your expensive seatcovers on one small trip!!! What did you say? The two cats tore up seat covers in one night?
Last year I replaced all my seatcovers at what could have cost over 12 hundred bucks. I did the entire installation myself! If I had hired someone to do all the work, I had a quote for over $800.

.....and your cats don’t destroy your furniture at home?

Declaw the cats, simple solution as they don't need them inside anyways.

Google Soft Claws nail caps. Much more humane and not physically and mentally harmful like declawing...

Hey Ken, I'm assuming you're not suggesting "my cats" [emoji16] I have never had a cat. And would never consider having one!! I've owned dogs, but they have not been inside my home-ever!!!

They don’t work well. They come off easily.

Sprinkle cayenne pepper on the furniture. That stops them. Or, as you mentioned, have thick seat covers made. Do you have scratching posts for them?

I haven’t tried them myself, luckily my cats aren’t very destructive, but I have a friend that swears by them. Her cat was really bad for wrecking her stuff!

we travel with our cats - I have one chair they jump on the most and had some scratches on it - I've gotten an auto chair cover that I can stretch over it (it's made out of heavyweight canvas type material) that has worked great.

I also bought a loveseat cover for our couch - the one that's like a blanket with an elastic band around the back - it tucks in around the edges and on the arms, plus it's washable to get all the cat hair off.

Purchased both from Amazon - I'd check there and see what you can locate.

double sided tape to the areas they are scratching with a scratching post near and available. Just redirect them to where to scratch. Once the new habit is established, remove the tape.

Our 2015 Georgetown Xl began to flake and peel like other MH owners after 1 1/2 years. We don’ t have animals Problem throughout industry not just Forest River. Problem with furniture suppliers. Friend’s THOR Windsport did the same
We just recovered Capt chairs and now must do love seat. I just bought covers at Wal Mart to help protect Capt chairs. The fit is good but not perfect as the seat cushions are a tad longer than the covers but for $20 (set of 2)we will give them a try. They carry different styles for different seats. I had to go to 2 different Wal Marts to find in automotive dept. The DW just bought some nice fabric and made slip covers for dinnet seat cushions
Not promoting Camping world but in this months flyer they have covers for Capt chairs for $60 and a throw for the love seat that covers body and arms- price?
I would have to visually inspect before I would buy
You must cover, animals or no animals. Good luck

X2 Also I have heard good about the plastic tips for their nails too. Just make sure to use the strongest glue (but safe for kitty) you can.

We use a drum sander on a Dremel tool to file down the kitty nails. She loves the vibrations and purrs madly when we do them! Works on the dogs as well.
