Sewer connection missing a tooth

This might not be proper terminology so I hope you get what I'm asking My sewer connection ( the end of the discharge that has 4 tits that mate up with the sewer hose and hold it tight up against it) is missing a tooth so I have to push the the hose end up against the connection.
I thought I could drill a same diameter hole where it was and screw a short bolt to fashion another tooth. However prior to doing this I thought I'd post this in case there was an alternative I hadn't considered.
Any comments?

You could grind off the other three "posts", or maybe even cut that whole piece off and then glue a new termination adapter on:

Mine came that way from the factory, with one nub broken off. The dealer just replaced the entire Y and valve assembly.

Or better yet, do what I did and cut the remaining pins off and glue one of these to prevent a poopsie, you won’t regret it!

Back to your original question... I have done the bolt/nub fix if the nub isn't at the bottom of the connection where the head of the bolt (inside the connection) would catch debris.

I drilled the hole slightly small and used a short self tapping bolt through the plastic. Held fine and when I sold the R/V it was still that way.

Gluing on a replacement collar is certainly a better fix. I was looking for quick and easy and it wound up working for a good long while for little money.

Which nib is it? On the bottom, side or top? Is it needed, in other words does it drip when draining the tank? If no, then I would not worry about it….
