Shower valve
My hot water valve is leaking in shower. In this configuration there seems to be a kink in hose because of the extreme angle. The ones I've seen in catalog has hose hook up on bottom. Can I switch? Also my only access is through that little port. 2005 Georgetown 359xl. Do I have to get specific shower valve for PEX? Thanks in advance

Can't answer your questions, but it appears to me that they installed the faucet backwards. I would think the hose should be angled to the front, not angled to the back.
But I found one here that looks like yours:

Wow. I’m no professional when it comes to plumbing but that tap unit installation just looks backwards to me.
My shower only has a small access door to the taps and plumbing too. My tap also has the hose coming out the top of the unit, but straight up....not angled backwards. I’d be looking to see if the unit was installed backwards....still with the hose coming out of the top, but the hose facing more forward than towards the back wall. If you were able to switch it around, the hot and cold taps would be reversed.
Anyone else?

Probably easier said than done. That one is upside down compared to ours.

I wonder why they didn't just put that surface mounted unit where that porthole is with the hose pointing down

Mine looks about the same except that the hose connection is straight up instead of angled towards the wall. I too have leaking inside the mount that results in water on the floor outside the shower. I opened the panel, but couldn't find exactly what is leaking. I might take it to camping world and have them fix or replace the fixture. Those with images of the hose looped below the panel is strange!

I would disconnect the fauset and turn it around. Handles have small caps that desicnate hot and cold, so just switch them. Easy fix.

Easier to find out if it needs to be fixed. Turn on the supposed hot water valve. If hot water is sprayed do not switch! If cold water is sprayed then needs to be switched. Can't be any simpler! One exception-- if hot water sprays with both handles turned one at a time you really have a problem! [emoji16] Even worse if both run cold water.
