Sky light

I have a 2020 Georgetown Gt3 30x3. On our recent trip to beautiful Ashville, we hit a low hanging tree branch and shattered the outside shower skylight. I completely duck taped over it but forgot to measure it before hand. I don't want to take the tape off now just to measure it. But I can't find anything documenting its size. Can anyone help me. Do you know its size or where I can get the measurements and where I can find the best replacement? Thanks all.

This FR fellow should be able to help you:

FYI, I have no idea if this is the one on the Georgetown but the attachment details how to replace an RV skylight. I don't know if this information will help you so I figured I'd attach it.

BTW, how the heck did you smash a skylight but not an air conditioner? Did it happen while backing in?

Dear Ray,.
Thanks for replying. And great question. The damage was caused by a rouge tree branch on Emma's Grove Road in Fairview, NC. It was just the appropriate height (at about 11.5 foot) and hanging 3 feet over the passenger side of the road. It was thick (about 3 inches) and hanging down from an large supporting branch. It seemed to be made to do the job of breaking rv skylights, and, by the look of how badly it was been beaten up, had done this job many times. But I got my revenge. The day after it broke my skylight, my buddy and I went back to the scene of the crime and cut it back. So it can never do damage to any Rv again. I have a piece of the offending branch in my motorhome and plan to mount it as a trophy.

I just measured mine from the inside.

The inside "window" dimensions are 13 1/8" x 11 1/4"

The 8-sided rectangular "frame" inside dimensions are 27 1/8" x 22 1/2"

Thanks Ray. Do you have the same year 2020 Georgetown 30x3 as me? I'm not sure how often these things change, or if they change between years. Also, I didn't think the skylight could be measured from inside since there is a second inside cover

The easiest thing to do is just measure the outside skylight width, length, and depth. Then go to any website such as this one to order a new one and all the sealant to replace it: https://www.icondirect.com/skylights/
I have replaced several and it's not a hard job as long as you follow the instructions for sealing, drilling, screw tightness

No, a 2020 GT5 34H5. I should be able to get on the roof tomorrow and get a rough measurement (because of the sealant).

Wow, the outside "bubble" is huge by comparison. I've going t say it's 34" x 24"
