Slide Out

Our rig is working just fine but I am doing some homework for the future. If a slideout fails to return are there some easy steps to follow in order to retrack it to get it to the proper servicing agent. I cannot ask our dealer as they no longer carry Forest River and do not seem interested to talk with me.

What type of control do you have on your slides?
Is it hydraulic or cable/pulley with 12 volt motor?
After I hear back we can then help you.

Thanks again, we may be almost neighbors as we live part of the year in Yuma.

Walt, a timely question. I am in the process of changing out the hydraulic lines for my slides and jacks. So far I have done 4 jack lines and am now into the slides. at 33000 miles they are failing one after the other.

I've been around hydraulics for 54 years and never seen any I can cut with a pair of kitchen scissors!!!

We aren't having and operational problems but the last time I put the big one out it made some squealing noise and an audible pop noise !! I need to know about lubrication of the rollers and other contact points...

I spray my rollers once a year with Silicone spray and also the seals with the seal spray.I do it with the main slide all the way out.
I haven't found the rollers for the bed slide, I just do the seals.
I also wax the ends of the slides when I wax the rig.

What do you need specifically.
I have the following:
1. Operation manual for LCI Hydraulic Systems
2. Troubleshoot LCI Hydraulic Panel lights
3. Operational manual using the control panel and Zeroing system level
4. Emergency manual retraction with drill motor.
5 A few more I just can't remember now.

Here are a few for now,
Have fun reading.

Thank, Iggy... I have an 18' long slide on the port side and I was wondering about lubrication of the slide rollers and sliding components!
