So I’m going through all the systems on the new to us MH 2013 Georgetown 350TS. I noticed when I was dewinterizing that there was a jam nut on the bunk slide that wasn’t tight against the bracket. When you were to put the slide in or out the threaded shaft would move in the bracket until it contacted the nuts. Both slides (bunk and living room) had a bang sound when moving, this was the ram moving before it contacted the slide bracket. So the rear slide is good now. Now I have to access the living room slide and tighten it up. This seems to me it was this way from the factory. Anyone know if it’s suppose to have this amount of play or was it never adjusted after the slide install? They slide smooth, just has an annoying bang when starting to move.

Ok, never mind. There is supposed to be 2-3” of free play. I found the instructions online. So I will move that one back to where it was. It just didn’t seem right. But now after reading that and thinking about it, it makes sense to have some free play because the slide needs to move freely going in and out. Otherwise the bracket the ram attaches to would probably fatigue and crack from the flexing!

Yes, I adjusted it back to its previous gap. I just hate the sound of the hydraulic cylinder making noise when it contacts the bracket. But that’s how it’s designed.
