Sofa replacement
Others have done this I am sure. I am also sure others are wanting to do this.! The original sofa bed in our G'town, with the flaking fake leather, was not comfortable as a sofa or as a bed.! Shoulda' replaced it years ago. RecPro has a really nice double recliner that is easy to install. We bought it online Friday 01/22/21 and Fedex had it here Monday 01/25/21...!! Sweet.! Three boxes. There was exactly 70" of space after sofa removal. We ordered the 70" and it fit without any problem. This one is the Oatmeal, fabric, manual recline with the lighted/USB cupholder upgrade. The USB option comes with a 120v/12v power supply and a pigtail for direct 12v wiring. I used the pigtail and tied in to the 12 volt wiring for the dinette lighting. We can't wait for our next trip.!

We plan on getting something similar but have found it locally and much cheaper. But, no power wanted in any aspect. Just the recliner part we mainly want.

I thought I could find it cheaper at my local furniture store and I did. BUT, it would not fit thru the RV door.!! Power recline was not an option I wanted because reviews were not good regarding the motor life. Having the phone charger handy is cool.! RecPro was giving a 5% discount for new orders which almost offset the USB option as well.!

How did you get the old sofa out? Remove a window? I want to replace ours with recliners but I have no clue how to get the sofa out the door because it is too big. Help.

Hope this helps. When I reapholstered my couch I found out the back was secured to the couch by 4 screws. Once the screws were out the back lifted off. After the back came off it was small enough to fit through the door.
I may have a picture of where the screws are and if I find it I will post it.

Mine won't fit between the hall wall and the door out. Maybe it can be disassembled somehow? I am guessing they put the sofa in before they put the back window in. Still looking for advice.

I pulled the bed partially out and found the brackets/screws holding it to the slideout floor. Cushions and mattress out the door. The backrest of the sofa lifted straight up to separate from the base assembly. No screws were used to hold it in place. With all this removed, my wife and I got it straight out the door without too much trouble.

Doubt that these pics will help, but here is our old one sitting on our patio to prove a chainsaw is not needed.! Lol 😆! I wish I had taken a pic of the back removed. Yours should easily come apart and out the door. I gave our old one to a very happy couple to go in their home.!
