We used magic erasers and a little bit of water to get the small reddish/orangish stains off of the ceiling of our 2006 FR last spring. We thought it was caused by liquid from the bottom but you all may be right about it being adhesive.

We have an 08 Georgetown 350. DW noticed it on the ceiling in the bedroom, then she picked out some more on the back wall and the left side wall.
Salesman of course told us "no problem, the detail guys will get rid of them". They didn't.

I had another RV dealer look at it them and the old vet in service said.....'It is glue, the contact cement they use to glue the stuff on the walls and ceiling. Good luck getting it off".

Service manager advised that they can be removed with certain thinners, but to be careful and not get carried away with amount and the force used to rub it.
