Stress crack

We have a 2010 Georgetown 378S and while we were on vacation last week, we found a sress crack on the back right side of our motor home about 9" from the top. We haven't hit anything or had anything hit us so we're fairly certain this is what it is. Has anyone else had this problem? We took it to a body shop and they said they wouldn't fix it because it nees an entire new back section. Hope FR comes through on this as I believe it's faulty construction.

Haven't had any stress cracks thankfully. Best of luck with FR, but they may step up and take care of it. I would think they would want it back at the factory to examine it and replace a rear cap.

when you say stress crack, are you referring to spider web cracks in the gelcoat that you cannot feel on the surface or are these actual cracks going thru the paint? the spider cracks seem to be fairly common and easy to fix as all 4 of my forest river products have had them in the past 4 years and all were repaired easily at the dealer. if its actual cracks coming thru the paint than that is a different animal.

No, I mean cracks in the actual body of the motorhome - the fiberglass(?) actually has split - not on a seam or on the molding either
