Suburban SF35F

I'm wondering if anyone else has had an issue with their furnace. 2008 Georgetown 350TS. Mine quit one night last spring and I ignored it, who needs a furnace when it is 72F during the night.

Well it is out from under the fridge, sitting on the dinette table, disassembled and tested.

What the problem was.... turn up the thermostat, just a click in the furnace area. No blower, so no ignition.

Sail switch???? No if it was the switch, the blower will start, run for 5 to 10 seconds then shut off.

Sail switch tests good, direct 13 volts to blower motor, runs great.

Clicking noise turned out to be the main solenoid on the circuit board.

The tab on the circuit board for the feed wire to the blower reads .012 volts. That definitely will not run the motor.

New board should be here by Thursday or Friday. I will do an install and bench test and let you know how I make out.

Anybody else gone through this perhaps?

Circuit board is installed and new sail switch for peace of mind. Sail switch is 11 bucks.

Back in and propane connected, works fine.

I think the new circuit board has a longer cool down period then the old one.

I can see a burnt connector on the bottom of the old board. That connection is from the main relay to the blower power plug. That was the problem I would say.

190 bucks, a couple of hours total and of course the ever present skinned knuckles, wire pierced finger tips and one gashed knee, courtesy of the furnace sheet metal and back in the hot zone. Come on cold weather.
