The dealer left my motorhome outside without winterizing it in 30 degree weather

So Last week I purchased a 2014 georgetown 351ds.The dealer gave me the unit with water in the tanks and water heater to show everything was working correctly. I figured I will winterize it in few days since the weather was still nice out. On the drive home I had a warning light come on the dash and realized it was the brake booster. I called the dealer up and they said bring it back, they will fix it. I dropped it back off at the dealer and informed them it was not winterized. A few days later I noticed we were going to go below freezing and called them and asked if I can come up to the dealership and winterize it. I was told they would take care of it. Today I went and checked on it since I found out they had to take it to a ford dealer to diagnose the brakes. First thing I checked was the water tanks and of course it was never winterized. Has anyone had there unit in freezing temperature for one night and did you find any leaks? This is my first motorhome and new to all of this any advice would be appreciated. Also the dealer is Motorhome Specialist in Texas.

That dealer profits on volume, don’t set your sights high on customer service.

Everything is inside the unit. I am sure that most of everything did not freeze solid. If... big if, the lines freeze hard completely and expand... the expansion will be minimal. There should be no harm done at all. Relax....

When you get your unit back, pressurize the water lines and see what happens. I am betting nothing.

Enjoy your new unit.

Living near the coast here in SC The winters are usually fairly mild and I have never winterized my MH. I usually don't worry about running any heat to it unless the temps drop below the 30's. Haven't had any issues.

Even though it dipped below freezing over there last week I doubt it was cold long enough to freeze anything in the RV. I'm 50 miles SE of Dallas and it was ok here. I deliberately left mine unwinterized.

You should be fine since it was a one night event. A "hard" freeze where the temp stays below freezing for several days is what will get you. I've survived several one night dips with no leaks yet...

Even so I'd hook it up to water at the RV dealer and see if "they" have any leaks that need addressed before driving home...

I’d be very surprised if 30 degrees for a few hours damaged anything Water doesn’t freeze as easily as most people think. A calorie is defined as the heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree C. Same heat is released when water cools. BUT...that last degree from water to ice requires 80 times that much heat to be released. Simple thermodynamics.

You just caused Charleston to move up on our retirement relocation list.

It would take a long time to freeze a lot of water at 30 degrees.

I live in the mountains and the last week it dipped down to the 20's at night I winterized our new to us TT but found the water heater doesn't drain with the underbelly drains! I only realized it after pulling the anode just to check it...I since ordered a new anode with a drain port lucky it wasn't a block of ice after 3 nights daytime temp has been 35. lucky me im a curios one that loves to pull apart things just to look. I would pressurize your coach before you take it off the lot
