TV reception

Does anyone know why the bedroom TV picks up more channels then the front tv?

Just installed the King fixed height antennae. Works great. 12 channels located, front TV, finder showing 4 LEDs. Bedroom TV, older model, smaller screen, scanned and found 22 channels.

Would it have anything to do with the connection on the King booster? Front TV hookup is on the front of the booster, the bedroom tv is hooked up on the back side of the booster plate.

Going switch them and see if it makes a difference.

Maybe your older TV picks up analog and HD channels and the newer one only picks up HD channels?

The front TV is only 2 years old and the back TV is 5 years old. Both tvs had the scan set for HD and Analog.

They are both Samsungs.

the big switcharoo

Today I disconnected the front TV from the output on the front of the Winegard antenna power booster. I then removed the booster from the wall in the the cabinet above the tub chair. With the back exposed I removed the line going to TV2 or also known as the bedroom TV.

Then attaching a foot long coaxial cable to the TV2 hookup. That cable was fed into a cable junction box with 2 outbound fittings. Then front TV and back TV were hooked up to the splitter.

As I stated earlier the front TV only found 9 channels during a scan for "all channels". The older TV in the bedroom found 18 Channels on "all channel scan". I talked to a couple of friends that have 5ivers and they found the same problem. We discussed the fact of the bedroom TV coming off the 2nd TV hookup and maybe it had something to do with this.

Well, scanned bedroom TV and 18 channels found. Scanned the front TV........18 channels found. $4.00 for cable and splitter at a discount place in town.
