USB outlet

On a 2015 378xl, anyone see any reason not to install a USB/110 outlet. In the end of bar next to the couch and wire into junction box under the range in front of heater?

This might save you some work, if you already have an outlet at that location. I have been using this for over three years and works very well. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OJGC7XE/

If not, then wiring it the way you describe should work just fine. If you have room, I'd install a residential box and outlet. Be sure to disconnect any AC, prior to doing the electrical work.

Also, use an outlet checker, after you finish to ensure everything is wired correctly.

If I already had an outlet there and knew black wires from white wires I’d use one of these.

If I didn’t know the difference between black wires & white, I’d follow the earlier suggestion.

I just installed this and replaced the small RV box with one that the USB will fit.
Outlet $12
Box $1
Both at Home Depot.

I installed a round double port usb charging socket on my 378 in the same place. It’s 12-volt so I just wired it into the furnace blower motor power supply wire right behind the wood grate under the range. Piece of cake. I put another one beside the main tv just above the 110-volt receptacle, wired it into the outside entertainment center power wire.

Yes I did, easy to do. Same location as you are talking about. I also installed one on the entertainment center next to the fireplace 110 plug. Love them both.

Exactly the same. I also put one in my dash about two years ago.
