Wall separation from frame

The wall of my Georgetown has separated from the frame. At the stairwell and forward all the way to the very front there is about a 1" gap on the inside of the RV.

I've been quoted $30-$40k to fix and there is no way that'll happen.

Does anyone have a line on parts list like outside molding. I need to remove the current molding and I'm not having any luck getting it off. The molding is right at floor level and is to the right of the door on the exterior. The bolts appear to have sheared off.

I just asked for this post to be moved to the Georgetown forum here. There is a sticky on top of that forum with a ton of posts on this problem and how people have fixed it. If you start from the last post and work your way backwards, the most recent posts had some detailed pics and posts of how the repairs were done by owners in their driveway.

In a nutshell, self-tapping screws were and are still used to hold the walls on. The screws shear and people replace them with bolts after jacking the wall back in place.

I did that repair to my 2008 Georgetown . I destroyed the moulding trying to get it off . Camping world ordered new moulding strips for me . I never got the part numbers. The parts were very reasonable but the shipping was way to high because of the length.

I used stainless steel bolts and nuts about every 5 inches.

It took about 6 hours taking the seats out ,pulling back the carpet, cutting back the wood floor, and cutting the foam insulation out.
Hardware, moulding, and paint I had less than $300 dollars in it.

I guess their labor rate must be over $5000 an hour

I think they just didn't want to do the work.

How did you jack up the house to get it back in place?

I just used a bottle jack between the tire and the inside of the fender skirt. I stuck a about 2 foot long 2x8 on end up to the bottom of the wall to jack against. It did not take much pressure . You just look through the holes where the old bolts went thru for correct alignment.

Rough roads

Mine was wrecked, when I bought it. The entire drivers side, below the moulding was cut off, by Camping World. Then the costs got real high, and the insurance company decided to total it. Those metal screws were not designed for rough roads. I pray they hold together. 2020 34H5.

I know you know what you meant but that is not making a lot of sense to me.

What was wrecked?

How did an insurance company get involved in a wrecked something?

Are you referring to the 2020 GT5 34H5 or something else?

I'm looking for the replacement parts for the molding. I'm being told they only sell 16 foot pieces. We're you able to find smaller pieces for your repair?
