Water heater access door

Okay, I have read on forum about replacing the Suburban water heater access door. Ours fell of somewhere and now I will need to replace it. We have the 10 gal tank. Someone mentioned on Amazon and I looked and found one but would like to know if someone had bought one and the model number. Thanks in advance.

Just for general information I have attached a plastic wire tie (small) between the screen mesh and the hole of the lock to prevent from losing the door while ont he road. It has worked for me 100% in my past five RVs.
You can just barely see my black plastic wire tie in the picture.

I know the reason the manufacturer (Suburban in this case) doesn’t do this to start, it’s always to cut costs. But......

One of the first things I always replace is the plastic cam locks in the water heater door. The OEM plastic doesn’t stand the test of time, and when they break off.......there goes your door. Replacing the entire door is even more upsetting when the door is part of the colour scheme all down the side of your rig. Full body paint or not, the generic replacement door just reminds you every time of when you HAD a factory door.

They’re not expensive AT ALL, and usually come in a “2 pack”. I attach the spare with a twist tie inside the door itself.....just in case, or to offer one to a friend in need. I’ve NEVER lost a door with the metal replacement below.

My water heater door has a metal catch and seems pretty secure?? No plastic. Mine is an Atwood.

When you buy one just make sure you are only buying the door and not the door and frame. Buying the frame with the door is more expensive and it is a big job to replace the frame.

OK, so I bought a pair of the stainless steel ones because I always was leery of that white plastic.

How the heck do you change it? Do you have to bend the tabs back that hold the spring in place? That's the only thing I can figure out.
