water pump

I have a 2014 Georgetown and my water pump does not work. Before I tear the bathroom sink apart can anyone verify that this is correct.

Exactly what happens when your pump doesn't work? Does the pump run? Does it run but not pump water? Does it run and not shut off? these are things we must know.

Not all Georgetown's (GT) are created equal. What model is your GT?

if it runs you can locate it by listening. It may be hiding behind a removable panel. I have heard of they under beds, In bathroom cabinets.

Water Pump

We found it. One of the storage compartments outside had a hard paper panel. We unscrewed that and there was the pump. The plastic holder for the filter was broken (probably from water left in it during the winter). Ordered a new part on amazon for $10.00. Should be here in a couple days. So relieved. Thank you everyone who responded.

First thing I did was remove everyone of those 1/8" plastic panels with 4" ring (3" opening). Another bad design to keep you from doing any service yourself and keeping lawyers at bay! FYI, pump is usually very close to the water tank.

I do not have any before pics, but here are some after. A close up of the SOVs I added is in the second allowing me to open and close without going under in the dirt - Simple idiots at the Factory never considered, are too cheap to include, or because I'm sorry some customers don't ever think about what they are doing before they do it and the RV industry is paranoid and hides behind lawyers that tell them to not offer anything beyond simple without requiring some thought.

Open the outside door just forward of the big under bed storage bay. Open the white plastic access ports...and there it is!

The black plastic is to try to retain the heat to keep the pump and tank from freezing. Lawyers have nothing to do with it. You may have to remove the black panel (3 screws but the front one us a pain.

The black 1/8" plastic layer has little to nothing to do with freeze prevention. The aluminum foil, insulation, heat duct and the insulated door itself does 98% of the work. Besides, I refuse to camp if it is that cold. Others may enjoy it though.
