The trees are showing green buds...they obviously think it is Spring here in the Denver area! Forecast calls for 20% chance of snow this weekend...

It was so nice last Friday and then I put away the snow thrower on Saturday. Well, you know the rest. Hang in there, it's coming, just not quick enough!!!

We got down to 68 last night. It was almost freezing! You will be able to get back at all of the people in Texas in august( between 80 to 85 at night and then on to 100 plus). I am heading the Monteal in April, what is the weather like then?

There are 4 advantages of camping in colder weather, last weekend we snuck out, we woke up to an inch of snow, it was a great camping trip despite the weather, the advantages are as follows:
1. No crowds
2. The campfire is ALWAYS inviting
3. You never run out of ice... and finally
4. Your beer never gets warm

We were at 5200 feet, about 50 feet below the previous days snow line, the kids loved everything about it and hopefully even being just a weekend getaway they will remember it for life, as one of my most memorable trips as a kid was on Easter weekend in the 70's when we woke up to 6" of snow on a fishing/camping trip, I remember it as one of the best camp trips ever.
