Weather Pro Awning Mystery

I have a Automatic Weather Pro Awning; and have a unusual problem. When I started the generator with the slideout extended; the awning retracted. There wasn't any wind so it wasn't the wind sensor. Has anyone else had this happen?

I don't have an electric awning, but perhaps the circuit has a fail safe to retract it in case of a power outage. Maybe starting the generator caused a momentary power drop on switch over and it retracted.

It still could be the wind sensor. As Joe said, starting the genny could have slightly surged the power and some of those sensors are sensitive to voltage swings. It basically fools the sensor into tripping like there was wind.
