Where are you camping in your Georgetown today?

Just wanted to start a new thread as I have seen this in other sections here on forestriverforums.com.

So let's start this threat by asking....
Where are you camping with your Georgetown today?

Who will be the 1st one?

Just got back from camping at Cedar Creek COE cg just north of Nashville. Beautiful there with lots of dear wandering through cg. Excellent weather highs in mid 70s lows in upper 50s!

We were in Eugene, Oregon last weekend. This weekend we are in the sticks and bricks home, next weekend, back to Eugene again. Was supposed to be football season - but we kept the campsite even when the season was delayed, just to be able to get away, as it's a really nice county campground.

Where are you camping in your Georgetown today

I just got back from 4 weeks out West from Cincinnati. 4600 miles on RV and 1050 on the jeep we towed behind. We were ready to come back. I think that is my last long trip I am 70 but feel 90. But the Georgetown did great the whole time. I did get two front tires because the alignment went bad from something I hit I suppose. They were great when we left but noticed a 2 inch wear spot on the right front tire! 23000 plus and not a hint of wear. Tires were easy to get but finding a place close to alignment center was the trick. We left Cincy went to Mitchell SD and saw the Corn Palace again and then to Wall Drugs then to Keystone and from there toured MT Rushmore Crazy Horse Needles Highway Iron Mtn Rd Custers State Park toured Bear Country then went to Devil’s Tower Spearfish Canyon drove through Sturgis a ghost town the Monday after it was over. Then to Custers Last stand stayed close by in terrible rv place that got their water from a creek and said they had to be careful not to get mud in it because it messes with the RV😜s. Then to Cody Wyoming and all through Yellowstone the long way but easier on the rv. Then to Missoula and Polson RV resort nice but not on the water but you could see Flathead lake. There was a KOA next door but they were booked solid. Then to Kalispel Mt to get tires and alignment. Then to Glacier National Park and Road to the Sun. Could have been the end of us all. In the Jeep it seemed ok but when we took Jepp off after going through North Dakota and Minnesota and Wisconsin at Crawfordsville Indiana 168 miles from home. The jeep made terrible front end noise and would not move more than 5 feet. Had towed to jeep dealer 3 miles away. Broken axle and bearing on right side. $2100 later and 12 days we got it shipped home. Also had to spend two nights coming home everything was booked Holiday week end. Sorry this is so long. Going to Florida in January for a month and that is it for a while.

We spent a week near Ashville, North Carolina (including labor day weekend). I drove our 30x3 on the Blue Ridge Parkway (for about 50 miles). That was fun and the views were spectacular. In mid-October we're going to north east Pennsylvania for a long weekend. Hopefully to see the fall foliage.

I used to live on Shelter Island between Greennport and Sag Harbor.
Haven't bene to Montauk for decades when not much was out there but wind and ocean.
Have a safe trip south.
