Windshield sunshade

Does anyone use a fabric/spring wire or foil reflective sun screen between the power shade and the windshield ? It looks like there is room. Maybe just lower the power shade a foot or so to hold something better than the shade only.

I am aware of the exterior ones. If I were staying somewhere longer than a week or so I would get one.

I am looking for something quick and easy to put up.

We made one from Amazon shadecloth material and put magnets on the windshield. It was made for the outside but the wind blew it off, so we transferred it to the inside. It worked fine but we do not have powershades.

Camping World has a 4'x10' roll of the foil; you just have to cut it to fit your window. I'm also going to have the driver's side and passenger side windows tented. To help as well. Good luck.

Texas probably isnít like Virginia and some other states, but here, in Virginia, you have to be very careful about tinting your windows, especially if you do it yourself. There is a legal limit to how dark the tint can be on the front side windows and it is just another thing you can be pulled over for. Most reputable tinting shops wonít tint darker than the legal limit, but some less-reputable shops and vehicle owners who donít know any better will tint darker than allowed by law. The police have a device that measures the tint and will issue a ticket if it is too dark.

Sunshade

We live in Texas and purchased a roll of Reflectix bubble / foil insulation from Amazon and cut a piece to fit the front windshield. It fits between the windshield and the power shade. I used a couple of pieces of Velcro to help hold it up at the top. To us it made vast difference especially when the front of the coach faces the afternoon sun. I also use it when the coach is stored to protect the power shade.

Sun Shade

Hello, we've been using this one for about two years now. It definitely makes a difference, and is easy to get between the roll down shade. https://www.amazon.com/Newport-West-...ct_top?ie=UTF8

I tried Reflectix and could not get it to say up. Without a wire support it is as limp as a noodle.

How do you mount Reflectix inside the windshield?

I had an external Magnashade on our 2017 FR3 30DS and enjoyed it. It is pricey, but installs very quick and easy on the windshield. It really does block a lot of heat, while allowing you to look out. I just haven't got around to installing on our new coach.

Reflectix has a rib running one direction much like cardboard from a box. This rib must be turned to run vertical for it to stand up. You probably have yours turned horizontal.

I taped a 1ft wide piece cardboard on the outside of the windshield and traced the contour of 1/2 of the dash, then cut it and took it inside to check the fit. I left the reflectix 48in tall, cut the contour both ways, made it 9ft wide, about 6in too long, and cut it in half vertically. The 2 pieces overlap, making it easy to install and hold in place with the power shade. It rolls up and stores in the closet.

I am sure it helped keep the M H cooler, but it was hard to tell it yesterday. I was parked in the driveway (no shade) with both A C running starting in the AM. It was 104 deg. in the afternoon, but the inside was 84 deg. I am going to Northern N M next week where it will be much cooler.

I got some insulation from Lowe's that looks like bubble wrap with foil on both sides.
I trashed the label or I would give you the name of the stuff.
I cut it to size, it is a PIA to to get setup but once in place it works great.
The roll was long enough to do 2 windshields and some side windows and if I remember it was about $40.
