Winegard 4G Router

I have a 2021 Georgetown GT7 with the Winegard 4G router - I generally use it to share my cell phone hotspot with all devices on board such as the Amazon Fire stick (for the TV), the daughter's iPad and various other handheld devices.

I noticed an unusual quirk having been to several campgrounds with the Georgetown now. The Winegard does not locate/display the campground open wifi as an option to connect to. This kind of sucks because in places where I do not have cell service and, when I want to avoid reaching the data cap on with my carrier, I cannot use the unlimited wifi where we are camping.

Has anyone else had this issue or know of a solution?

Could.it be the way the campground allows access to the wifi, like needing a "agree to terms" to be clocked or a hidden SSD?

Sorry maybe not quite on your topic, but how do the cg wifis work? I have found they tend not to support things like firestocks as they do not have the band width.

Does your router have the wifi add on installed?
If it is installed, is it properly seated? Assuming it is a dongle.
Once your hardware is installed correctly, there should be a software interface allowing you to configure the wifi addon - it could be as simple as turning on a switch or even better, once the hardware is installed it is automatically configured,

The better wifi networks are password protected. That's the most I've seen. Security is minimal so having protections on your devices are key.

No idea how thorough the virus protection is at the host level so you've got to protect your devices and networks if your so equipped
