Wiper Blade Performance

Has anyone replaced the wiper blades and wiper blade arms on a 378XL to increase wiper performance?
Even with new blades, there does not appear to be enough tension on the wiper arms to force the wiper blades against the windshield to effectively clear the rain.
I searched the forums and did not find anything. (poor search on my part?)

Wiper Blade Performance

I noticed the same performance issue with ours. I replaced just the rubber part of the wiper with those single blade types, didn't help at all because of the lack of pressure on the windshield.
I also have an issue with the way the water squirts out. Not a good coverage of washers solution.
Hope someone post a fix.

After market makes a spring that snaps on the outside of the arm to give them more pressure, NAPA store.

I have done this.
The adjustment other than the spring is to look at the solid arm and slightly bend it more to the window for added pressure. This is what I did and it gained more pressure of the wiper rubber on the windshield.
Now it isn't 100% contact at the end of the sweeps right and left but the main center area (more flat area) it does better.

I put a lock washer in the break were arm flexes push in on arm and insert,
It puts more pressure in on the window.
