Come west then... it's 10 cents less in Calgary and diesel is another 3 cents again.

Here's another site for reserving a site in Alberta

No problem on the link - I hope that you enjoy it. The photos are from Chinook lake - recommended. However avoid Lundbreck falls, it is right beside the highway, good place to stop for lunch and a swim in the falls, but camping - not for us.

I also understand that there is some really good boon docking in some of the old mining towns that are now ghost towns off the beaten track, however my the wife uncle's tails of the trails to get to them put me off. The photos of what was once there and what remains are fascinating - really interesting history if you look past the obvious Frank side incident.

Apologies to all for the spelling / typing errors in the previous posts - trying to get used to a mac that auto corrects as you go.

Pickering, a burb of Toronto.

We prefer Ontario provincial parks. Bon Echo, the Pinery, Sandbanks we like a lot.

For a change this summer we'll also do Lake George & Robert Treman State Park in New York for 2 weeks.

Welcome to the forum!
We're from Regina also. We have a site booked May long for Douglas PP. That will be our 1st outing this year. We were supposed to go to Tompson Lake Regional Park last week but the weather didn't cooperate with us. Of all the parks we've been in, Buffalo Pound PP is our favorite and we'll camp there 3 different times over the summer. First time here we had 2 fawns walk through our site and last year an owl perched on a campsite post for about 15 min. I'll see if I can find the pics of both occassions and post them.
Can't find the pic of the fawns

From Okotoks here. Used to live in the pass. Beautiful place and the fishing can be world class. Especially the river.

Used to live 5min bike ride from chinook lake. It's a great campground and the fishing isn't too bad either. But it can get crowded. Especially during thunder in the valley. Be careful with the fishing as its a reservoir so lots of trees on the bottom, and lots of lost hooks to go along with it. Unless of course you fly fish. Lots of good hiking trails right there and great quad/dirt biking fairly close by.

There are LOTS of campgrounds around the area from pincher creek all the way to the BC border.

We're in Calgary too. Apart from all the other great suggestions already mentioned, we quite like Writing-on-Stone Provincial park. That is, when we're not camping in the mountains, which isn't that often! ;-)

And welcome to the forum from this Stamps fan!

hey welcome... I'm from Saskatoon. We usually head to Banff or Jasper at least once a year and also head up to Waskesiu. I would love to hear about more about good provincial parks in Saskatchewan from other members.

Fraser Valley. BC has the greatest camping areas for biking, fishing, hiking or just relaxing and watching the wildlife.
Bring your camera !!!

I'm from Regina and the local prov sites around here are nice but if go to Duck Mountain Prov Park it is definitely a place to camp, including the wildlife and you don't need to go to Alberta to visit the bears

We really like Emma, Candle and Greenwater. Probably our favorites that are within a weekends drive. Douglas is also nice but I find the lots a little small.

We also really like Waskesiu but find it can be a little expensive. This year we are seasonal at Emma and it's only a short drive from there. Also find that you get more for your money at the Prov Parks.

We live in Mallorytown On. about an hour east of Kingston. If you are going to Northern On. the price of gas at Marathon last month was $1.56 If you can get gas before Marathon of about 50 miles after the price is 10 cents less.

We do ride a goldwing. It has gotten a 2 year rest as we enjoy the trailer now more than the bike.
