Banff and Lake Louise

We are doing some planning for a trip to Banff and Lake Louise. Not sure if we will be able to do it this year since it is likely already too late to make reservations.

We don't need hookups so dry camping can be done. What is the lead time we need to do for reservations? We are thinking late August or early September. No kids so we can avoid the times when school is out.

Would like to change the title of the thread to Louise instead of Loise. How is that done?

Done, and that is a beautiful area. I've been there but not in RV.

You pretty much have to check for Canada Parks daily until you find something. We went to Banff last July and didn't really have trouble finding a campsite open. We booked for Two Jack Main (no hookups) in Banff last March. The longest dates we could find was a 3 night stay. Bathrooms, showers, dish-washing stations are in each group of sites. Firewood is free.

BTW, Two Jack Main was not on the Garmin GPS.

Canada closes borders today. So far US citizens are exempt.

Non-essential traffic is closed. I hope it is short lived!
