Bronte Creek Provincial Park

We're planning on going to Bronte Creek PP in late June and would love some site/area suggestions from anyone that's been there before. There's 2 adults and an 8 year old in our party and our trailer is 25'. I guess the only amenity they have is power so we'd like a power site.

I stayed there with my family 2 years ago. Excellent park. Be sure to go to the farm area. There are animals to let/feed and a barn converted to a huge play area kinda thing. Great for the kids! St Jacobs market is close to that area for some nice shopping. And there is a berry farm close by that does wagon rides and tours through the fields. Can't remember the name though.

The berry farm is Springfield farms. It on the niagara escarpment.

When we went a couple of years back we stayed in the Prairie Campground site 101. The tap was too far for the 125' of hose I had, so I had to resort to a collapsible jag to fill my water tanks.

Disclaimer: Yes, I intended to fill on my way in, but their site isn't set up well for that. The water is only available on the way out of the campground at the dump station. So plan to swing around if you're filling up when you're there. It might be a good idea to google map it and see how it's laid out.

I also got lost getting to the park. The GPS took me to the day-use entrance instead of the camping entrance. (Again, I should have google mapped it first. )

But, aside from that we had a great time. The site we were on was fairly private, because the angle of our trailer blocked us from the road, but had a couple of paths blazed through to provide easy access to both the playground and the bathrooms. The kids loved it over on the day-use side and it was a chore to get them to leave the play barn.

We're actually hoping to go back. It's on the list of possibles that were working our way through in our plans for this year.

That was the first site my wife and I took in our TT. Our first grand daughter was born July 3rd in Oakville. So after a quick trip for her birth we spent a week in Bronte Creek at the end August. Planning on going up for another week for her birthday. They now live within walking distance of where we camped last year. Found out that it is easiest to load up on water when you check in. Our TT is 37' so is too long for most of the sites other then in the Prairie loop which doesn't have a lot of shade. The other loops have a number of nice sites with tree and shade.

Only 125' of hose? I have 250' now for PP fill up. We can go a week plus on Black and Shower Grey Water. Just need to fill water and dump galley once. Walmart RV Waterhose is 50 ft 5/8 inch and was $12.95 last summer.

Thanks all for the input. We ended up reserving site 103 in Prairie for 3 nights. I'll plan on doing the circle to fill up on the way in but we should be right next to the spigot if we need to top up. Looking forward to it. Hope to have some time to visit the berry farm as well, thanks for that.

Good choice, that's over from where we were at. In fact, it'll share a pole with site 101. (At least I assume it shares, the people on 103 plugged into the 101 pole alongside mine.)

If I remember correctly, that site will still be about 100' or so from the spigot, even if though it shows it as 'right next' on the map. So bring enough hose. Oh, and don't forget your water thief (http://www.amazon.ca/Camco-22484-224...ds=water+thief)

I have 2 drinking hoses and one utility hose so hopefully that's enough if I need to use the spigot.
