Double towing

Do many of you do double towing? I pull a 12' aluminum trailer with a Polaris Ranger side X side behind the fiver. Do you find that the 2nd trailer is bounced around quite a bit?

Pulled a jet ski behind mine. Never knew it was there.

A friend of mine pulled a rzr on a 5x8 trailer behind his 5th wheel and I followed him for about 200 miles. It did quite a bit of swaying. He has since bought a larger and heavier trailer. We plan to go to the rzr forum ride in Taylor Park, CO this summer so we will see how the new trailer does.

Check the laws carefully. Many do it, but they either live where special licenses aren't required, have the special licenses, or have just been lucky to not have been caught.
I have a bunch of pictures of double rigs on Photobucket.

I tow doubles as well. My second trailer is about 2K when loaded with 3 ATV's and a RZR 800. I do keep the tongue weight about 250lbs and added a sub-frame to the 5er. Mine tows very true and I watch it with a camera on the back of the 5er.

Just drive very careful and let the others by. I could not imagine having a Toy Hauler and loading up/break down camp every time we want to go riding.

No need to go to NY or any other of the other states when we have all we need here in Colorado and surrounding states and it IS legal here and Wyoming and Utah.

I have double towed and never had any problems just need to make sure the second trailer does not sway to begin with.

Just be aware that a lot of FRF members have cameras and post pics of people double towing and the various comments that go with them.

Double trouble?

Saw a double towing. An older Ram2500 with an older 28ft trailer towing an 18 ft runabout. The bed of the truck had a honda goldwing, with stuff piled all around it. The runabout was also stuffed and on top of the boat was the tonneau of the pu tied on to keep it all together. hope he wasn't going too far. And wouldn't it figure, I had left my phone/camera at home.

We did it on 2 rigs with a boat. Can't now due to length, frame and weight.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.
