for when do we need reservations?

For some reason, I've always had "Seeing Nova Scotia" on my bucket list and this year my wife and I are going to do it. We are planning to leave New Mexico in May and head east and sight see along the way. I expect we will get to NS the later part of May or the first part of June. Memorial Day (May 30) is a busy time for campgrounds here.

I'm wondering if anyone has recommended campgrounds in Nova Scotia and if I will need to make reservations.

After NS we are planning to head back west across Canada and re-enter the US in either Michigan or Minnesota. So any recommended routes, campgrounds, and avoidances would be appreciated.

You won't need reservations at that time of year. We were there this past August (2 KOA's , nothing special) and there were always a few empty sites even then. If your travelling that far, take the time and go to PEI, also.
