Any recommendations for rving in the Gaspe (30 foot trailer ).

It has been several years since I went around the Gaspe. At that time the roads were under construction but had no problems. There was no problem finding CG. Even saw a pod of whales from shore. I recommend taking highway 30 around Montreal. Small toll for bridge but you will avoid the downtown traffic. Hwy 30 takes you to the south shore.

stay at Forillon National Park ... and take the 198 instead of doing the full round about through the bays ... will save your brakes for sure.
Forillon is one of the nicest and most beautiful parks in the the province .... wake up very early and go watch the sun rise at Des Rosiers camp area ... this is definately a trip we will be taking again.

Stayed at Saint Jean Port Jolie 2 years ago with 2 friends and their big 5er hauling 3 motorbikes. Great campground especially on the Seaway level. Rode around the area as much as we could and enjoyed it all. There's a great little motorcycle museum in the town if that's of interest to you. The restaurant on the waterfront downtown is also good.
Went back the following year with my wife in our car and stayed at a motel on the other side of the Seaway near the Montmorency Falls. Both sides of the Seaway are terrific.

yea ... the roads are in good condition ... passing lanes ect.
along the St.Lawrence coast there are a number of hills and valleys, and small towns with gas stations, so you should be ok .. however gas prices will be fairly steep due to the locations and the extra taxes Quebec pushes at their residents.
going through the 198 there is a small town half way through ... so gas up there ...i seem to remember that it was the only one on the route ...
a very enjoyable trip with lots of beautiful scenery.

I agree with D-mo. The highways are very good; the roads we used along the Seaway were good - 2 ways with few places to pass; some of the more minor roads in more rural areas were rough and as usual anywhere we met some road construction. Road 132 along the Seaway was a 2 way but very enjoyable but often had bicyclists touring on it.
Remember the speed limits in Canada are lower.
It's a tourist area all through there and the locals are used to that.
BTW: There are Tourist Information places here and there and the staff are very helpful. You can also get the tourism people to send you stuff through the mail before you depart.
