Kamloops to Revelstoke route option

Pulling a 5er would you recommend staying on 1 or dropping down and taking 95-95A?

I would just stay on highway 1.

West side of Salmon Arm has a fair amount of construction going on. They're literally moving a mountain to work on twinning the highway.
There is some construction in Sicamous, as I hear they're going to be adding a bridge by the marina.
There was some construction coming into Revelstoke, but the paving going on east side is complete.

No idea why, but we found a common problem in BC, where drivers will be below the speed limit, then when they come up to a passing lane, they throw a cinder block on the gas pedal, then when the passing lane is done, the block goes in the back seat and their speed reduced accordingly.

Highway 1 is a good road but steeper than US interstates. Stay on it.

I had to laugh at this. We just arrived in Revelstoke. First thing our traveling companions said when they stepped out of their truck, “Why do people drive 20 below the speed limit where you can’t pass them and then 10 over where you can?”
