Actually, there was a study of bear attacks that tried to determine whether it was better to have pepper spray or a gun. Their conclusion was the pepper spray worked a little better b/c it covered a wider area and most folks can't hit anything with a gun in all the excitement...

We cannot. Arry guns in Canada ( must be locked up without ammo! Crazy laws) but I do have pepper spray.
How about bangers? Was thinking about getting a couple...just in case,
We prefer state and provincial parks but they do come at a risk of more wildlife ( prefer this wildlife to the human wildlife that can be found in some " well established/ semi permanent camp grounds)
Also, very thankful for the 50 gallon FW! Never realized how fast thT can be used up.
