suggestions for insect control

Hello, I am planning a trip across southern Canada from Buffalo NY to Vancouver BC in August. I am taking a route just north of the great lakes the through Winnipeg, Regina, and Calgary then to Vancouver. I would like to know if I should buy an insect tent for the trip in order to sit outside during the day and at night. Also do you have any suggestions for the tent or shelter? I would like the shelter to be large enough for 4 adults. The shelters that I have seen so far do not have floors I would think that would be essential.
Thanks Rick Hanes-Stetter

I don't think a floor is necessary unless you intend to camp on top of an ant mound. Even that wouldn't help because the ants would just climb around the floor.
We used a pop up canopy. Lightweight, easy to assemble and it had 2 zippered doors. If we're camped on concrete and it's permissible we us Raid Bug Barrier that stops any crawling things. Flies and mosquitos are a bit harder to discourage so you might want to buy some mosquito repellent.
