Toronto - St John's

Hi guys, planning a trip for me and my 5 year old for september. Any info/advice on campgrounds would be appreciated.
Looking for treed/quiet campgrounds and places to see along the way. Also any Walmart stores that would allow us sleepovers.

I recommend Barachois Pond Prov. Park in western Newfoundland. It is about 75 minutes from the Port Aux Basques ferry terminal. It's unserviced but very picturesque. Open till mid Sept.
Grand Codroy RV Parl is also a good full service site close to the ferry & I think they stay open later in the Fall. Great owners.

In Newfoundland , many campers just pull off the road and camp anywhere. It's called gravel pit camping.

My posting on axle weights may have been misinterpreted. It should read 4100 lbs for the front axle and 3125 for the rear axle.

I'm not aware of any Walmarts in Quebec that turn away overnighters, I've personally stayed at the one in Levis with about 15 other RVs. My parents use the Drummondville one alot

If you haven't travelled through Montreal in a couple years be sure to check out highway 30 below Montreal. It will save you 30 minutes over older options.

Suggest you try Pippy Park Camp Ground in St John's. Great spot you will not feel like you are in a city
