Winter Camping in Algonquin Park

Has anyone camped at Algonquin Park during the winter with their RV? I know Mew lake is open year round and has power sites. Checking Ontario Parks web site, it shows you can reserve sites throughout the winter. Are reservations necessary? Thinking a week in Feb or March. Love the place in the summer but never tried camping with the RV in the winter. Lots of activities offered throughout the winter.

I have been to Mew Lake 100 times and unless that windy road from hwy 60 is well maintained, I could not imagine taking a TT down there. Not to mention in Feb it being to cold to keep the TT warm, the furnace would not shut off. Not to mention not being able to use the TT plumbing. Would not have to worry about the temp of the lake to go swimming or canoeing, would have to cut through the ice first. I doubt you would need reservations in Feb...just to make sure there was a park warden to let you in.
